Do you want to work on state-of-the-art products, based on Linux Kernel, being designed for emerging fields such as automotive, ultra-speed networking (10/40/100 Gbps), network security, media streaming, virtualization, etc., etc.? This position is for you, then.

We are looking for a junior Linux Kernel / BSP Engineer for our Lahore or Islamabad office. Fresh candidates with relevant FYP and good academic records are also encouraged to apply.

Must Have

• Strong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded platforms
• Understanding of processor architecture, ARM, and x86
• Hands-on experience of building Linux kernel, drivers, and BSP’s 
• Know-how of debugging kernel modules, drivers, etc
• Have solid hands-on experience with RTOS such as Nucleus, ThreadX, FreeRTOS, etc
• Have a good understanding of Networking & Wireless protocols, esp TCP/IP
• Know-how of boot-loaders, board bring-ups

Should

• Hands-on experience with profiling tools such as strace, ftrace, etc.
• Have hands-on experience in hardware sensor interfacing
• Be familiar with PCI drivers
• Be familiar with graphics systems and rendering concepts
• Have working experience with Git usage
• Be driven by results and handling testing associated with the development
• Have good communication skills in English
• Be self-organized, having a focused working style
• Have a cooperative and persistent attitude
• Be a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science / Engineering / Electronics Engineering
• Have good knowledge of the complete software development life cycle
